Oral GLP-1 receptor agonist

Foundayo (orforglipron) is manufactured by Eli Lilly. Unlike injectable GLP-1 medications, it's taken as a daily pill. It was FDA-approved in April 2026 for chronic weight management in adults.

Non-peptide structure

Unlike semaglutide (which is a peptide and breaks down in the stomach without special formulation), orforglipron is a small-molecule compound that can be absorbed orally without the fasting requirements of oral semaglutide (Rybelsus^®).

Daily dosing with titration
